Kelechi Iheanacho, nicknamed Seniorman Kelz has recently come into a rich vein of form. He has either scored or provided an assist in every game for Leicester City since the beginning of March, except the game against Manchester City which his team lost by two goals to nil.
His two goals against Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-finals took Leicester City to their first FA Cup semi-finals since 1982. He then went on to score the only goal in the semi-final tie against Southampton to take his team to their first FA Cup final in 52 years, where they will be facing Chelsea who beat Manchester City, the team that defeated Leicester in their last FA Cup appearance.
His league goals have also been extremely important for Leicester, helping them in their bid to consolidate their position in the top 4 as they look to secure Champions League football for what would be the second time in their history.
His goals have brought him a lot of fame, with his teammate and fellow countryman Wilfred Ndidi taking to Twitter, to ask Iheanacho to “cut soap” for him. Before March, he was in and out of the team, but currently, he’s one of the first names on the team sheet. Leicester fans would definitely be hoping he can keep it up, as they aim to win their first trophy since 2016 in the FA Cup.
